Understanding Andrew County Releases
A release from the Andrew County Jail means the person physically left that facility. It does not always mean the person returned home. The jail may release someone after bond, a court order, dismissal, time served, or completion of a local sentence. It may also transfer someone to the Missouri Department of Corrections, another county, a federal custodian, or immigration authorities. The official release timestamp proves a facility exit. The court docket and any receiving custodian explain what happened next.
That distinction controls the search. Andrew County released inmates normally disappear from the current-custody roster. A county release entry may remain for a short time. A person sent to prison belongs in the state offender system, while a person released to parole or conditional release can remain active in Missouri corrections records. Final discharge is different again: it means the state sentence and supervision relationship is complete.

Andrew County Jail houses people for local cities and several outside governments, including Wyandotte County, Kansas. The arresting-agency field is a routing clue. A person can leave the building in Savannah while the controlling case or hold belongs elsewhere.

The public profile is useful, but the Sheriff cautions that the page is for convenience and cannot certify authenticity or accuracy. Important claims should be backed by a focused custodian response or the relevant court and receiving-agency records.

The feed does not state the release reason, releasing authority, destination, transfer agency, sentence end, or court case number. Ask for the release transaction or log when one of those facts matters. An unexplained code should come with a data definition or plain-language meaning from the custodian.
Identity also needs more than a name. Compare the booking photograph, booking number, date, and arresting agency with the court case. For a person who later entered MODOC, use the DOC ID and cause number to keep the county booking apart from the state sentence. A profile is one custody episode, not a complete life history. When two dates differ, preserve both and label what each measures. A judgment date, release-processing time, transfer time, and supervision start date can all be valid without being the same event.
Can Andrew County Bond Change?
Yes. Andrew County profiles warn that charges and bail may change after court appearances. The jail directs readers to detention staff at 816-324-4114 for current bail, charges, and case numbers. The jail also publishes information about qualified bonding agents, but that list does not show how a specific release occurred.
Use the displayed bond as a starting detail only. Confirm the court order or release transaction before describing someone as bonded out. This prevents a transfer, dismissal, or time-served release from being misread as a bond release.
Request Andrew County Release Records
Once a profile leaves the rolling online window, a focused Sunshine Law request is the durable local path. No Sheriff-specific online request form or fixed Sheriff fee schedule was found. Send the request to the Andrew County Sheriff's Office, identify the person and booking, and describe the exact public fields needed. Do not use the Prosecuting Attorney's separate form as though it were the Sheriff's process.
- Give the full name, booking number if known, and a narrow date range.
- Ask for the release transaction, exact release date and time, coded authority or type, and public destination or transfer agency.

Under RSMo 610.026, ordinary small pages may cost up to ten cents each plus allowed duplication time. Electronic or picture records may include actual media, copy, staff, or necessary programming costs. The statute permits estimates and prepayment. Those statewide limits are not a posted Andrew County Sheriff price list.
Andrew County Record Limits
Missouri Chapter 610 governs access, fees, response steps, and lawful closure. RSMo 610.100 covers law-enforcement records, but it does not make every internal jail record open. Active investigative facts, protected personal information, and information that creates specified risks may be withheld. Court access also differs from jail access. A public docket entry may lack a remotely viewable attachment, and confidential reports remain closed.
RSMo 610.140 governs expungement. When a court grants eligible relief, official records can close and court files become confidential under state law. A missing old record can therefore reflect lawful closure, not proof that no booking or custody event occurred. Public online retention is a separate question from how long the Sheriff keeps the underlying record.
Claim Commissary After Andrew County Release
Andrew County publishes one unusually specific post-release property rule. Commissary remains the inmate's property, but when release occurs before delivery, the former inmate has five business days to claim it. After that period, the jail states that the commissary becomes jail property.
No equally detailed general-property return process was found. Call the jail for clothing, documents, medication, or other stored items rather than assuming the commissary rule applies to all property. No official exit door, pickup area, release schedule, transport program, or gate-money policy was identified.

- Search the name, scan exact timestamps, and save the booking number and arresting agency.
- Call the jail or request the transaction when the reason or destination is unclear.
- Search Missouri Case.net for the matching case, judgment, later order, warrant, or revocation entry.
- If the record points to MODOC, another county, BOP, ICE, or a federal matter, continue with that custodian.
- For an older local exit, request the Sheriff record because the public feed has no permanent archive.
A released person usually leaves the current jail roster. Use the released feed and release record, not roster absence, to prove the exit.
MODOC Search for Andrew County Releases
The Missouri Department of Corrections Offender Search covers active incarceration, probation, and parole. It requires CAPTCHA, accepts first and last name, and includes aliases. A known DOC number is stronger when the current interface offers that field. An institutional result points to state custody. A field-supervision result may show release from prison with parole, conditional release, or probation still active.

Andrew County Release Court Trail
Missouri Case.net often lasts longer than the jail's release feed. Review every plausible Andrew County or municipal case. The docket may show a bond order, dismissal, sentence, probation order, revocation, amended judgment, warrant, or discharge entry. It records the legal process, not the exact moment the jail door opened, so compare it with the Sheriff's timestamp.
Local routing matters. The Andrew County Associate Division calls criminal and traffic matters each Tuesday. Savannah and Country Club Village municipal court meets on the first Tuesday of each month. Fifth Circuit rules route felony complaints and misdemeanor or infraction informations to the Associate Division, while indictments go to the Circuit Clerk. Searching only one case category can miss the record that explains the release.
The Andrew County Circuit Court can provide allowed inspection or certified-copy options when an online entry is incomplete. Preserve the case number and distinguish the judgment date from the physical release time.
Andrew County Post-Release Supervision
Andrew County is covered by MODOC Western Region District 1. Parole, conditional release, and probation all can keep a person in the active offender search after secure custody ends. District 1 can confirm public active-supervision information, the responsible office, and the recorded supervision date. A vanished result should not be described as discharge or absconding without an authoritative record.
The principal office is the St. Joseph Community Supervision Center. Does Andrew County Release to ICE?
The Sheriff says Andrew County Jail occasionally holds a person on an ICE detainer. ICE explains that a detainer requests notice of an impending local release and up to 48 additional hours so immigration authorities can assume custody. The county release timestamp may therefore mark a transfer to ICE instead of a return to the community.
Check both sides of the event. The county record proves departure from the Andrew County Jail. The ICE Online Detainee Locator System covers defined current and recent ICE records, subject to delay and omission. A no-result does not by itself prove freedom.
Andrew County Federal Release Checks
Public VINELink can provide an agency-fed custody event after the exact person record is matched, but Andrew County participation was not confirmed well enough to replace the Sheriff's feed. Missouri MOVANS is a separate, eligibility-limited victim service for MODOC events. Neither system is a federal prison locator.
For sentenced federal custody, use the BOP Inmate Locator. A past release date with no facility and a status such as Released or Not in BOP Custody means BOP custody ended, though another custodian or supervised release may follow. Federal pretrial cases often require the federal docket or a focused U.S. Marshals Service request. Do not treat absence from BOP as proof that all custody ended.
BOP searches accept a BOP, DCDC, FBI, or INS number, or a name with optional narrowing fields. Its data generally reaches back to 1982 and is updated daily. A future date can change after sentence-credit calculations. UNKNOWN means the confinement term is not determined, while IN TRANSIT can reflect movement handled with the U.S. Marshals Service. Each label describes federal custody only.
ICE uses a different identity system. Search the official locator with a nine-digit A-number and country of birth, or exact name and country with optional birth date. ICE guidance describes current detainees and certain recent releases, but delay, spelling, transfer, and scope can produce no result. For a federal pretrial person who never became a sentenced BOP prisoner, review the federal court detention or release order and use a focused USMS records request.

Andrew County Jail Release Context
Andrew County's current complex is its fourth jail. The Sheriff's history says the 18,000-square-foot Sheriff, 911, and jail complex opened in October 2012 with space then described for 60 inmates. The current jail page reports 84 beds and seven cell-block areas. Those are opening-era and current descriptions, not conflicting figures to be merged.
The county has one documented detention facility: Andrew County Jail, called Andrew County Detention Center on roster pages. It holds local and outside-agency detainees. A release profile's arresting agency can therefore be as important as the physical facility name when locating the next record.
